Maple LLC is looking for a Asterisk VoIP Engineer to provide day-to-day technical support to the Company's global customers in telephony and network-related escalations.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to the Company's global customers in telephony and network-related escalations;
- Aid the sales team in getting telephony and network information on how to deal with the new customer's PBX;
- Monitor and maintain wired and wireless networks for office locations and production infrastructure;
- Recommend and implement network improvements to increase security within the Organization;
- Support firewall upgrades and maintenance including VPN tunnels, policies, NAT Rules, and MPLS connections;
- Provide constant and ongoing communication with customers and internal teams regarding customer escalations;
- Work with Linux servers running open source telephony applications such as Asterisk and RTPengine;
- Ensure proper and timely follow-up on assigned cases to ensure service level agreements are met and client satisfaction is high;
- Report management on a monthly bases.

RequiredQualifications
- Experience in working with networks and phone systems;
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or similar is preferred;
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting various networking technologies (Cisco, Dell, Aruba, Palo Alto and SonicWALL) including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and WAPs;
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network communication systems;
- Knowledge of Asterisk configurations: adding SIP peers, hardening connections to prevent fraud calls; experience in using CLI interface;
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in working with VoIP, T-1s, E-1s, and other phone carrier trunks;
- Understanding of softphones and VoIP codec settings;
- Knowledge of how to use Linux operating systems;
- Excellent knowledge of English and Russian languages is preferable;
- Flexibility to adapt well to rapid change in an extremely fast-paced environment;
- Logical problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) with professional etiquette;
- Self-starter who enjoys problem solving.
