Responsibilities
What you'll be doing as a Product Designer:
- Design intuitive and reliable healthcare / life sciences software products. Based on the goals and needs for our users and clients, create user flows, UI specs, interaction design, mockups, and prototypes
- Execute accurately and quickly. Our customers love us and are anxious for us to augment our software to support their additional business needs. We're also bringing on new customers on a steady cadence, and we need to support their unique workflows
- Collaborate and iterate. Work with stakeholders across the company in product management, customer success, and engineering (among others) to explore multiple designs to solve a need, evaluate tradeoffs, and implement the most promising solutions
- Understand business goals and user needs. Communicate with both internal and client-side design, engineering, business and marketing teams to understand requirements, shape scenarios and user stories, and translate them into products
- Document design decisions. As a Life Sciences / Healthcare service, our software must be fully compliant with appropriate regulations, and withstand audit scrutiny. Fully flesh out and document designs and workflows as needed for validation and testing
RequiredQualifications
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience designing software that has shipped and been used by real customers in production environments at scale
- Familiarity with contemporary design and prototyping tools, and a general understanding of front end web technologies; Familiar with ongoing trends in design for SaaS (Software as a Service) products
- Experience with Agile software development, and an interest in shaping and improving team processes
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment with rapidly-evolving product requirements; Able to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
- Collaborative; Able to effectively interact with both technical and nontechnical people across departments and discipline Bonus skills:
- Formal training (Bachelors/Masters) in Design, HCI or related field
- Experience advocating for design (conference presentations, books, blogs, etc.)
