Description
VOLO is looking for Senior Back-End Software Engineers that are passionate about the latest distributed analytics technologies, machine learning and solving complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities
-Be involved in building the scalable data flows and application of machine learning based airline revenue management system offering
-Work closely with leadership to understand and influence strategic product directions while translating those into appropriate API designs and service architectures required to support new product offerings
-Provide evaluation and guidance on engineering options, and need to present detailed technical findings to managers and peers around trade-offs in performance, capabilities, and costs
RequiredQualifications
-University degree in Computer Science or in a related field
-At least 3 years of working experience in back-end development
-Working experience or knowledge in Python
-Working experience in any of these languages (C++, C#, Java or PHP)
-Knowledge of Git, Redis, Rabbitmq, Flask is a plus
-Good understanding of Continuous Integration processes and Containers (acquaintance to Kubernetes or Docker Swarm is a plus)
-Experience creating RESTful applications
-Experience implementing APIs and database-backed transaction processing in stateless service architectures
-Working experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure or Google cloud is a big plus
-Experience in object-relational database (PostgreSQL is a big plus)
-Ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audiences in order to help create a common roadmap between product management, product engineering, and data science
-Flexibility to travel to client side
-Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
