Responsibilities
- Negotiate with logistics companies and shippers to obtain best rates for loads and service customer needs
- Generate new leads and find loads using dispatcher software
- Book, schedule, coordinate, track and trace and enter loads
- Dispatch and assist drivers and carriers on routes, ensuring accurate recording of arrival and departure times
- Track shipments from P/U to delivery and provide up-to-date information to customers
- Maintain regular communication with shippers and receivers
- Dispatch pickups and deliveries to the drivers
- Assign trips and movements in the system
RequiredQualifications
- Higher education
- Previous logistics/ transportation sales experience is highly preferred
- Communication and negotiation skills with strong command of English language, both verbal and written
- Ability to speak in English language clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
- Previous inside sales experience is highly desired
- Cold-calling/ business development experience is highly desired
- Outbound call experience is highly desired
- Customer service skills is highly desired
- Ability to multitask
