Responsibilities

- Collaborate with application developers, business partners, management, and the IT team
- Develop and document systems, processes, and logic required to expose existing data sets in the warehouse to end users for reporting and analytical purposes
- Be responsible for data administration and integrity on a PostgreSQL 9.5 database
- Develop and execute data migration between development, test, production, and disaster recovery environments
- Be responsible for backup/restore procedures
- Performance tune databases
- Maintain production, test, and development databases
- Perform upgrades and patches to database engines
- Work with development staff on new database designs
- Be responsible for application required up time of database engines
- Work with developers to troubleshoot application problems related to the database
- Document the database environment and standard operating procedures
- Resolve issues with vendor support groups

RequiredQualifications

- 4+ years experience with DBMS management using Postgre SQL 9.5+
- 4+ years of PL/SQL development skills
- Experience in web application development (forms, controls, analytics, and reports)
- Ability to create technical documentation (physical data models, technical specifications, etc.)
- Ability to extract and profile data from a variety of legacy systems and sources
- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, data modeling, and physical database design.
- Hands-on experience tuning and troubleshooting database structures and queries including query optimization, table index tuning strategies, and profiling techniques for isolating operational bottlenecks.
- Ability to maintain and document data model, data dictionary, and data flow diagrams
- Ability to understand business functionality, processes, and flows
- Detail oriented and a team player/leader
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
