Responsibilities

  • Help identify the specific issues and opportunities within the business, related to the application of data science, to guide the implementation of relevant solutions.
  • Design and drive the Ameriabank’s data management strategy, program, roadmap and capabilities (governance, definitions, policies & processes, quality, data analytics infrastructure, architecture, privacy, security, sustained awareness, etc.)
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand in simple terms the data strategy components and buy into it.
  • Design and development of the Enterprise data architecture and management framework for existing as well as new data platforms
  • Establish and deliver technologies, tools, approaches and methodologies to unlock the value in enterprise data assets of an organization
  • Enable Analytics teams across different businesses and functions, through provision of data technology, and data expertise
  • Leverage on the data assets to create business value through the use of data science, define appropriate analytical models necessary to support use cases such as customer intelligence, optimize product launches, discovery of new business opportunities, risk management etc...
  • Foster innovation leveraging emerging Big Data and analytics technologies
  • Serve as trusted partner to key business executives focused on the customer, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance and finance
  • Safeguard the overall Ameriabank data and its quality (trusted data – complete, accurate, consistent, and appropriate)
  • Identify, build and maintain strong relationships and working links with Ameriabank’s  Innovation and digital solutions implementing teams, business lines, as well as external bodies to gather and track data and intelligence, and ensure continuous alignment between data management initiatives and business needs
  • Build, develop and retain a motivated high performing data management team committed to achieving success through each other, enhance the capabilities of the team in the areas of commerciality, understanding of business value drivers and emerging technologies
  • Champion the cultural change needed to create a world class data team, committed to excellellence and powerful influencing and consultancy
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory and legislation requirements, risk management framework and internal policies and standards
  • Define data management performance metrics based on overall business objectives, reporting on performance and suggestions on possible areas of improvement

RequiredQualifications

  • Master's Degree in relevant disciplines is desired (preferred in Management, Economics or Information Technology and Computer Engineering)
  • 5+ years of Innovation and digital management experience in a large local, international or global organization
  • 10+ years' experience in any of the following spheres: Banking, IT or Telecommunication
  • Broad experience and understanding of banking industry and technologies, up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices
  • Excellent understanding and experience in executing Data Quality, Data Warehouse and Data governance
  • Data Architecture understanding, particularly of the elements that make up the data lifecycle
  • Experience in managing data warehouses, MDM, BI and associated data elements
  • Thought leadership – demonstrable expertise in driving new thinking and approaches, and successfully influencing senior leaders to adopt them
  • Ability to create new hypotheses, develop pilot solutions rapidly, test rigorously and quickly act to move to implementation
  • Strong leadership, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management skills and high levels of diplomacy will be essential in order to have the necessary levels of influence and impact
  • Executive level interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Significant experience in building and leading high performance teams, ability to set priorities, delegate, motivate and develop staff, coach them to become top performers and communicate objectives and goals
  • Knowledge of Customer Analytics, Business intelligence, Projects management
  • Excellent knowledge and fluency in Armenian, English and Russian languages
