Description
CargoMatrix Inc. is searching for a Mid-Level Android Developer to join its Mobile Development Team.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform;
- Participate in project estimating, planning and progress tracking;
- Work with internal and external APIs;
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability;
- Maintain existing applications, including debugging and improving application performance.
RequiredQualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject;
- Fluency in English language as a primary or secondary language;
- More than 3 years of experience in Android development;
- Strong knowledge of Java;
- Experience in working with remote data via REST and JSON;
- Experience with source control systems (TFS and Git);
- Experience in integrating with third-party libraries and APIs;
- Solid understanding of Android's activity life cycle;
- Strong team player, with the potential to grow into a team leader.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with development design patterns;
- Familiarity with Android Studio or IntelliJ;
- Experience with mobile UI and UX design, including Human Computer Interaction principles;
- Working knowledge of emerging technologies and trends;
- Familiarity with Material Design guidelines and principles;
- Experience with Visual Studio and .NET stack;
- Strong technical writing/ software diagram skills;
- At least 1 published original Android application.
