Description
Qatar Airways is looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join its team in Yerevan. The incumbent will be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. He/ she will undertake accounting functions for assigned areas of responsibilities and ensure associated accounting is accurate, complete and accrual based. He/ she will ensure that all target dates are met with timely submission of reports to the Head Office and that transactions are verified and recorded in line with financial policies and procedures. Fluency in English and Armenian languages is essential for this role. The candidates should have the right to live and work in Armenia to be considered.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly payroll in accordance with local laws and Qatar Airways policies;
- Responsible for proper recording and timely payments of invoices after due verification;
- Manage accounts receivable;
- Prepare vendor reconciliations;
- Monitor bank transactions on a daily basis and timely record them;
- Assist in preparation of monthly accruals/ provisions;
- Assist in preparation of monthly management reports and reconciliations;
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports;
- Responsible for annual asset verification.
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a similar discipline;
- Experience in a related field; airline experience is highly desirable;
- Experience with spreadsheets, MS Excel and ERP systems;
- Knowledge of local regulations/ taxes, including payroll taxes, VAT, as well as Oracle Financial;
- Ability to communicate confidently with colleagues in Head Office and to work under pressure;
- Fluency in English and Armenian languages;
- Right to live and work in Armenia.
