Job Location: Yerevan, RA
AUA Extension welcomes applications from well-qualified candidates for teaching Python, JavaScript, Java, C++ programming languages at AUA Extension.
The course requires a commitment to the open, interactive and student-driven style of instruction. The instruction will be both in English and in Armenian.
Responsibilities
-Teach the course according to the curriculum
-Develop syllabi and course plans for students and hold regular class/office hours as appropriate for the teaching load
-Give homework assignments, grade them and return them to students on a regular basis
-Find, implement, and share new instructional strategies
-Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of the subject
-Confidently explain concepts and process to students
-Be equipped with multiple ways to solve problems and use alternate strategies to help students grasp difficult concepts
-Adapt at structuring the classroom environment to facilitate learning
-Have high skills in planning effective classroom instructions
-Be proficient in preparing effective and appropriate lesson plans
-Perform other related duties as assigned
RequiredQualifications
-An earned degree in Computer Science
-3-5 years of demonstrated professional experience working in the field
-Proven experience in teaching
-Proficiency in English and in Armenian
