Gender-Media Expert
PROJECT: WOMEN IN POLITICS
OxYGen Foundation for Protection of Youth and Women Rights (hereinafter "OxYGen") is looking for an expert organization/company for gender-media services under Women in Politics project.
Background
The overarching goal of the project is to contribute to enhanced political participation of women, with a specific focus on enhanced representation and participation of females, including the young generation, in community development processes.
The project will contribute to the following results: (i) Strategies and recommendations on measures to improve women political participation developed based on evidence collected; (ii) Leadership potential and skills of women and youth in communities of Armenia are advanced for community development and transparent and accountable governance ; (iii) Role and capacities of political parties for advancing women in politics are enhanced; (iv) Policy dialogue on gender equality in the context of local development and ongoing reforms from local to sub-national and national levels is facilitated; (v) Public discourse on issues of gender equality, women and youth participation at all levels is advanced through advocacy and public campaigns; (vi) Active young women and men in local communities are empowered: (a) as future local leaders; (b) as enablers of local democracy.
Timeline
The candidate will be contracted for provision of services from February 2020 through February 2021.

2.Technical proposal – describing their understanding of the situation under each task and vision of the solution, maximum 2 pages

Responsibilities
-Development and promotion of a comprehensible content for visualization of key findings of the surveys and researches conducted under the project
-Development of sets of recommendations for legal reforms - from gender perspective
-Media support to the EQUAL marathon
-Visibility stories on women candidates
-Success stories on women political participation
-Elucidation of activities of EQUAL marathon
-Gender expert support to the activities related to the media
-Gender expert support in public campaigns and public events
-Other expert support to the project activities as requested by Program Manager
RequiredQualifications
-The identified candidate should have solid knowledge of the country context and the capacity to provide the expert services described above
-Proven record as a gender expert with a specific focus on gender equality promotion and media
-At least 5 years of experience in the field of gender and media
-Previous experience of working with OxYGen and/or UNDP is a plus
