Description
Responsibilities
- Negotiate with logistics companies and shippers to obtain best rates for loads
- Generate new leads and find loads using dispatcher software
- Book, schedule, coordinate, track and enter loads
- Dispatch and assist drivers and carriers on routes, ensuring accurate recording of arrival and departure times
- Track shipments from P/U to delivery and provide up-to-date information to customers
- Maintain regular communication with shippers and receivers
- Dispatch pickups and deliveries to the drivers
- Assign trips and movements in the system
RequiredQualifications
- Previous logistics/ transportation sales experience is highly preferred (All State)
- Communication skills with a strong command of the English language (close to native)
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
- Previous inside sales experience is highly desired
- Cold-calling/ business development experience is highly desired
- Outbound call experience is highly desired
- Customer service skills are highly desired
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Highly motivated
