Responsibilities

- Provide desktop support for local and remote staff through face-to-face, voice and online communications techniques
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Apply application and system updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Develop, maintain, and monitor all server backups and iron mountain distributions
- Solicit and evaluate quotations, procure, and deploy IT equipment and services
- Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
- Ensure network security and connectivity
- Collaborate on network policies and procedures

RequiredQualifications

- Experience administering Windows 2012/2016 Servers and Windows 10 workstations
- Experience with Linux is a plus
- Experience with patch management technologies such as IBM BigFix, or WSUS
- Have familiarity with virtualization technologies. Microsoft Hyper-V is preferable
- Knowledge of following the technologies is preferred, but not required: SSL, IIS, SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Mailman, Postfix and ColdFusion
- Possess working knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP Technologies. Experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches is preferable
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines is critical
- Responsible for talking with vendors, gathering bids, and purchasing equipment
- Prior experience following NIST Special Publications controls and guidelines (e.g. USGCB)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, and/or walk
