The A. Alikhanyan National Laboratory of Armenia (AANL) is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and energetic Chief Operating Officer for the successful operation of various aspects of AANL. The position reports to the Director of AANL and spans a wide range of responsibilities from support for experiments, installations of equipment, to procurements, repairs and maintenance, energy efficiency undertakings, as well as the design and development of the AANL campus toward the implementation of a technology and innovation corridor. AANL has real-estate properties for scientific use, commercial production, and technology rentals. COO is expected to oversee the physical plant of AANL while closely working with the CFO and the directorate for the best fiscal, scientific, and economic development paths. Effective communication and implementation of standards are requirements of the job.

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in building both annual operating budget and capital projects budget;
- Provide assistance in budget development and execution;
- Review monthly financial reports to assure that revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled;
- Oversee management and control of department budgets under her/ his supervision;
- Assure all risk management and safety policies and procedures are adhered to;
- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are followed;
- Ensure building and grounds exceed expectations in cleanliness and appearance.

RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, and experience in managing large or medium facilities; Science or Engineering background is a plus;
- Experience: proven track record of success in operations in organizations.
