Description
Under the general guidance of the Managing Director and in close coordination with project managers, the Communications Manager will be responsible for the design, development, management and execution of Media Initiatives Center's communication strategy in support of its mission and objectives, and enhancing the Organization's credibility and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Manage and update the Organization's website; write, edit and publish news, feature stories and announcements on a regular basis;
- Manage the Center's social media outreach, including posts in Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube and Instagram;
- Maintain media relations to advance the Organization's identity and visibility;
- Plan and organize program related public events in close cooperation with the dedicated personnel;
- Produce and distribute press releases, ensure the timely and high quality media coverage of events, monitor the coverage;
- Coordinate the development of the Organization's communication products (brochures, banners, etc.), ensure that they meet high quality printing standards and are timely executed;
- Carry out the internal communication with the dedicated personnel.
RequiredQualifications
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences or a related field;
- Strong knowledge of the media sector of Armenia;
- At least 3 years of work experience in communications, outreach and media;
- Fluency in written and spoken Armenian and English languages; knowledge of Russian language is a plus;
- Solid knowledge and skills in social media and photography; video production skills is a plus;
- Team player and communicator; organizational and analytical skills; creative thinking; ability to interact with external and internal audiences of various types and levels.
