Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a capacity model for Global Services resources to determine capacity to support pre-sales needs, and executing projects and support tasks
  • Understand skill sets required to staff projects
  • Maintain current Global Services skill descriptions and competency ratings
  • Maintain accurate data on all Global Services skills, including capacity, allocations and availability
  • Develop and execute a process to regularly update the capacity model to reflect changes in Global Services staffing and skill distribution
  • Develop and maintain the sales support process to record soft backlog demand and secure key resources needed for pre-sales support and deal closure
  • Create and maintain time tracking methodology for resources.
  • Tracks all current and incoming delivery resource requirements and works with Management to prioritize fulfillment. Identifies and assigns available resources based on needed expertise and customer dynamics to participate on pre and post-sales activities
  • Requires limited supervision on less complex tasks and greater supervision for more complex duties. Uses established network of internal contacts across multiple geographies to identify resource availability. Works closely with Project and Line Manager(s) to publicize resource availability. Takes initiative to filter availability options back to Project and Line Manager(s).
  • Partners with other Managers within a Geography to source and share additional delivery resources across for effective resource utilization. Collaborates in the development of processes and systems to track, identify, task and plan resources for project work.
  • Develop and conduct training (scheduled and on-demand) on resource management (project level of effort estimation) time tracking, and other resource related functions in the PSA
  • Evaluate and process project change requests that materially affect resource assignments and needs
  • Create and generate Global Services resource reports, providing coaching for manager- and contributor-level reports and dashboards as required

The Following Skills And Experience Are Required

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related fields is required
  • Experience in generating and distributing resource-, organization-, and project-level reports and metrics / KPIs
  • Experience in professional services, PMO operations or project management is required
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
     

In Addition, Desired Skills And Experience May Include

  • Experience with specific PSA tool(s) such as Kimble or FinancialForce
  • Strong understanding of business concepts such as capacity planning, resource forecasting and soft backlog, and utilization measurements preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with account managers / solution engineers, project managers and resource managers
