Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Director HRM, the post holder shall perform the following key duties:

DUTY 1/Mission 1 

  • Initiate/Coordinate and prepare policy papers and technical proposals on HR Policies and Procedures to meet INTERPOL's evolving operational needs. 
  • Ensure consistent Policy Framework compatible with INTERPOL Staff Manual. Advise on all Human Resources issues and on related policy formulation. 
  • Elaborate and recommend strategies and methodologies to ensure sound and flexible HR policies that will serve to attract, motivate and retain high caliber staff and enhance INTERPOL Organisational Performance. 
  • Ensure HR Policies and Procedure are up-to-date and are regularly communicated internally. 

DUTY 2/Mission 2

  • Actively monitor (newly) implemented HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and that organisational objective is met. 
  • Monitor the implementation of the Policies related to the INTERPOL Code of Ethics, Harassment and unappropriated behaviours, and Diversity for alerting and advising on areas and ways to improve.
  • Analyse information and statistical data to identify new areas of gaps in the HR policies or procedures. 

DUTY 3/Mission 3

  • Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.

RequiredQualifications
Only professional experience for which candidates can provide official proof of employment will be considered. Candidates are informed that prior to interviews/test they will be asked to provide copies of such official documents. All candidates will be assessed on the under mentioned requirements. 

Training/Education required

  • 3 to 4 years University Education in Human Resources or related subject. 

Languages

  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in a second official working language of the Organisation (Arabic, French or Spanish) would be an asset. 

Experience required 

  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role 
  • Experience in a multicultural environment 

Specific aptitudes required 

  • Very strong communication skills (written and oral), including listening skills 
  • Proficiency in the use of Office tools and training equipment. Experience in working with SAP is an asset 
  • Personal and professional maturity 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Initiative and creativity
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional networks
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Good analytical skills 
  • Traveling to other INTERPOL Duty Stations could be required.
