Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Research for facts and credibility in the areas of politics (both internal and external), economics, culture, sports and other areas of interest;
- Produce news stories that are unique and captivating;
- Develop story ideas, write and edit news stories;
- Write posts in an exciting, captivating and authentic manner;
- Develop original content in an engaging and accurate manner;
- Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor.
RequiredQualifications
What you need to have?
BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field;
- 1 year of experience preferred;
- Excellent command of Russian and Armenian languages;
- Experience in editing and content management systems preferred;
- Understanding the tenants of professional journalism;
- A portfolio with examples of strong breaking news reporting (optional);
- Ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven materials;
- Strong social media skills, including Twitter, Facebook and Telegram;
- Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines;
- Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
- Knowledge of any other foreign language will be considered an asset;
- Ability to make right decisions in a media environment;
- Ability to handle assigned tasks within required time frames.
- Staying up to date with current events, policy decisions and legislation changes, contempt and defamation law
- Ability to learn and improve knowledge and skills
