Housekeeper
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organisation with the exclusively humanitarian mission to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening International Humanitarian Law and universal humanitarian principles. Established in 1863, the ICRC is at the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
The ICRC Delegation in Armenia is announcing a vacant position (80% employment rate) of Housekeeper based in Yerevan.
Responsibilities
-Provides cleaning / housekeeping / laundry services at ICRC premises
-Ensures all rooms are cared for and inspected according to the standards
-Protects equipment and makes sure there are no inadequacies, reports any necessary repairs or replacements
-Monitors cleaning supplies and orders more as needed
-Adheres strictly to rules regarding health and safety and follows organization practices
-Supports colleagues in logistics and in other variety of tasks whenever required
RequiredQualifications
-Primary school education or higher
-Relevant work experience would be viewed as an asset
-Fluent knowledge of Armenian, low intermediate knowledge of English, Russian language knowledge would be considered as an asset
-Polite manners, neat, disciplined and accurate personality
