Description
Responsibilities
- Recruit civil societies to build out our network of campaign partners in Armenia
- Meet with the staff of campaign partners to coordinate campaign activities
- Translation of advocacy materials such as policy briefs and digital media into Armenian
- Build relationships by meeting with key fiscal policy actors in Armenia, including but not limited to political parties, ministries, and international organisations
- Writing content related to the harms of tobacco use and tobacco control
- Reporting directly to co-founders on the progress of objectives
- Advising co-founders on long and medium-term strategic decisions
- Helping to write proposals for Armenia specific grants
RequiredQualifications
Must Have:
- Demonstratable interest in public health
- This could be by similar projects, blog posts or academic study
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Armenian
- Based in Yerevan
- Passionate about mobilising civil societies to change policy
- Desire to improve health outcomes for thousands of people
- 2+ years experience in a leadership role in an NGO or government agency
Nice to Have:
- Written content for public audience e.g. op-ed pieces, college newspaper articles, blog posts
- Experience working in/with civil society organisations or NGOs in Armenia
- Research experience in public health/health economics/related fields
- Experience in startups or other early-stage organisations
- Experience working with Ministries in Armenia or other relevant actors (e.g. NCPH, WHO ...)
- Ability to travel for conferences
- Academic qualifications in medicine/public health/economics
- Experience in grant writing
