Responsibilities
The grand hyatt hotel is looking for a kitchen steward. The role of the Kitchen Steward is to provide excellent, quality service in an upscale hotel kitchen atmosphere, working cohesively in a fast paced, team environment.

RequiredQualifications

- Ability to properly handle the dishwashing machine including turning on and off, de-liming, changing water and adding chemicals
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and keep them stored properly
- Ability to load and unload dishware and flatware from the dishwashing machine and store them properly
- Ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area
- Ability to respond properly in any emergency or safety situation
- Ability to collect, utilize safely and put away all cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment
- Ability to perform weekly scheduled cleaning duties
- Previous dishwashing experience
- Basic kitchen equipment knowledge for cleaning purposes
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
