Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies
- Develop custom data extraction models and algorithms for extracting data from various sources (databases, PDFs, XLSXs, DOCXs and etc)
- Use modern predictive modeling techniques (such as Machine Learning) for automatization of data processing and extraction
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement data ETL related to different models and monitor outcomes
- Manage the Company Data Science Engineering Team
RequiredQualifications
- 2+ years of practical experience working with data-science pipelines for performing automated data analysis and ETL, predictive analytics, or machine learning
- Great coding skills in Python
- Knowledge about big data frameworks as spark is a plus (knowledge of SQL is desirable)
- Experience with simple Image Processing techniques (binarization, sharpening, segmentation)
- Experience with NLP techniques for text classification (Distributed Representations, RNNs)
- Experience with data extraction from PDF documents and OCR will be a big plus
- An understanding of statistical concepts, as well as experience applying them
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- High level of empathy and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Very good knowledge of English
