Description
We are looking for a System Architect who will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the enterprise's overall systems.
Responsibilities
-Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms
-Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery
-Stays on top of the industry trend and new technologies for the system architecture
-Provides a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization
-Divides large computer systems into partition to allow for easy management by individual engineers
-Interfaces with implementation and design engineers to handle problems with design concepts or implementation
-Develops sketches, user guides and models to keep end users and system engineers up-to-date on system structure
-Allocates all foreseeable requirements into partitions to ensure minimal communication between subsystems
-Conducts surveys to obtain information regarding client needs and user domain experience
-Plans the structure of a system considering user requirements and cost-benefit scale
-Presents system layout to clients for confirmation before design and implementation
-Liaises with developers and hardware engineers to develop an effective system structure
-Conducts acceptance tests to verify if a system is in accordance with fundamental user requirements
-Modifies new or already existing system structure to improve efficiency as well as meet client needs
-Maintains accurate records of design operations and steps taken during the structuring of a system
-Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies
-Update project managers and chief architects on the progress of a design
-Conduct research to determine the effectiveness of off-the-shelf products in building a new system
-Proffers recommendations to clients on ways to ensure an efficient information technology structure
-Maintains architectural products and systems to ensure they remain efficient
RequiredQualifications
-Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans
-Extensive experience in system and network creation and development
-Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices
-Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research
-Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under extreme pressure
-Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice systems engineers
-Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems
-Typically requires 10+ years of related experience
