Responsibilities

• Designing, Developing or customizing WordPess Themes, Plugins
• Review current code, systems, and practices, and iteratively improve their quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with developers, project managers, tech leads
• Produce detailed specifications and pitches for future developments.
• Develop new features, fix bugs, and iteratively optimize performance and quality of code.
• Test the product before release.
• Prepare internal documentation for Development and Support team members.
• Collaborate and share information with team members

RequiredQualifications

Technical Requirements

• At least 3+ years' experience with PHP and WordPress development
• Deep knowledge and understanding of OOP, MVC concepts and development design patterns
• Deep understanding of and experience in WordPress and its codex and architecture
• Deep understanding of WordPress plugin architecture and engineering, experience on modifying and debugging
• Experience in JavaScript.
• Experience using version control in a collaborative environment
• Experience with MySQL database administration and programming.
• Experience with Gulp.
• Experience of working with APIs
• The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly within deadlines.
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
• Comfortable with customer-facing roles including support and documentation.
• Experience with other leading PHP frameworks (YII, Cake PHP) is an advantage
• Experience with ReactJS and Angular JS is an advantage
• Knowledge of other CMS’s is an advantage
• Having an active Github and/or Stack Overflow account with contributions to the community is an advantage
