Role Title Risk Manager

Role Purpose
-The job holder is in charge of security risk and operational risk management, in specific protection of people, property, assets and information, as well as overseeing and assisting the management to effectively identify, quantify, manage and report the operational risk profile
-The job holder should have the skills and capabilities to identify and measure the risks to the business and offer cost effective ways to minimize those risks
-The jobholder is also responsible for developing and maintaining best practices, policies and procedures to guard against and reduce financial losses and crimes against the organization, its customers/members and employees, resolves operational risk event related issues in compliance with local laws and regulations, preparing various reports and analyses outlining adverse trends and patterns, assisting management in decision making

Responsibilities
-Identify and escalate areas for operational risk management improvements in the Bank including where dispensations to policy or risk acceptances are required
-Assist management in challenging and advising all departments with regards to both management of specific risks and overall operational risk management
-Identify facilities requiring physical security support and implement necessary steps to mitigate risk
-Deliver on an ongoing basis physical security solutions in accordance with overall regulatory requirements (internal external) and aligned to the overall Regional and Global security strategy
-Support plans and work closely with Corporate Real Estate and IT to ensure defined and approved physical security design is incorporated in to new and redesigned facilities
-Maintain active relationship with country law enforcement and other governmental agencies
-Managing the pre-employment vetting process in cooperation with local Human Resources Department
-Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

RequiredQualifications
-University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance and/or Accounting
-Experienced in the international business environment with a sound understanding and appreciation of cultural norms
-Strategic vision and an awareness of the environment within which the company operates
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, proven leadership with sound judgment of people and issues
-A change agent who is not afraid to challenge the status quo in order to drive risk strategy
-Proven organizational and analytical skills, pro-active approach and willingness to take the initiative
-Excellent knowledge of English, Russian and Armenian languages
-Excellent knowledge of MS Office and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications
