Description
Baker Tilly Armenia CJSC is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger, as well as undertake the month-end and year-end closing process for a client company;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed assets register;
- Assist in the reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies;
- Maintain communication with various stakeholders, including shareholders and external auditors and provide necessary information as requested;
- Ensure complicated transactions are recorded in compliance with the adopted accounting policies and IFRS;
- Responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS;
- Prepare and review tax reports, as well as clarify and resolve any tax-related issues;
- Perform other tasks related to the Accounting Department.
RequiredQualifications
- Higher education, preferably in Accounting and Finance;
- ACCA partly qualified; availability of ACCA membership would be an advantage;
- At least 3 years of experience in a middle to senior level position in the accounting team of a large company; experience with international companies is highly desirable;
- Sound knowledge of IFRS; experience with IFRS compliant financial reporting;
- Excellent knowledge and sound practical application of Armenian tax legislation;
- Experience with AS-Bank accounting software;
- Excellent communication skills in English and Armenian languages;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office package;
- Detail-oriented person with strong analytical abilities;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to work effectively in situations involving shifting priorities and/ or simultaneous demands.
