The U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Painter on WAE schedule in the Facility Management section. The WAE schedule is an employment on an irregular or occasional basis where the hours or days of work are not normally based on a pre-arranged schedule.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Prepares and finishes surfaces inside and outside of the Embassy facility and short term leased (STL) residences based on oral instructions from the supervisor and work orders received. Paints with latex, enamel or varnish surface either by hand or spray pressure applications.

RequiredQualifications
-Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

- Completion of High School;
- At least one year of journeyman experience in trade of primary expertise;
- Level I (Rudimentary) English and Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Armenian;
- Must have a valid, current class "B" license that is not currently suspended or revoked. Shall have had a valid driver's license for a minimum of 5 years. Must demonstrate safe driving skills (to be tested).
- Must have full journeyman level knowledge of painting practices and procedures and tools of the trade.

-For driving and insurance purposes, the incumbent must be 25 years or older.
