Responsibilities

1.      Develop models and procedures for data reporting;

2.      Extract data;

3.      Maintain data bases and data files;

4.      Collect, verify, compile, and present statistical data in order to publish the university's Factbook and other reports;

5.      Administer, calculate, customize, and report surveys to students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers and other university stakeholders for research and reporting efforts;

6.      Provide technical support to academic units and academic support units;

7.      Provide training for staff members in use of various statistical analysis software programs, surveys implementation, and data presentation;

8.      Follow processes and procedures to ensure data integrity and accuracy, and provide feedback and input on improving processes and procedures;

9.      Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

RequiredQualifications

·        Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, education administration, business, public administration, social sciences or a closely related field;

·        Excellent computer skills including command of statistical software (e.g. SPSS);

·        Experience in SQL query language;

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills;

·        Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff and faculty;

·        Attention to detail and accuracy, and a sense of ethics;

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

·        Experience with survey design and qualitative analysis;

·        Experience in an educational environment a plus;

·        Experience with assessment of student learning a plus.
