Responsibilities
-As a tech savvy and passionate software/hardware engineer, you will be leading a small specialized software engineering team (Documentation Engineering Group) developing and maintaining the RTL-related processes, internal tools, and flows for automated documentation development in the technical writing group.
-As a leader, you will collaborate with other teams and have a significant and immediate impact on all customer documentation produced
-The role includes the following responsibilities:
-Developing new internal programs and maintaining existing internal tools, programs, flows, and scripts for automation of documentation (technical writing) flows
-Leading and managing developers of internal tools and flows
-Ensuring state-of-the-art code and scriptware is being written along with proper testing suites
-Interfacing with global R&D ASIC design teams regarding Verilog RTL code analysis for extraction of documentation information – register maps, pin maps, clock crossings etc.
-Testing and documenting flows, code, and processes.
-Mentoring and developing team members
-Provide flows and tool support for a team of 20+ Technical Writers
RequiredQualifications
-Hard skills we're looking for:
-Degree or masters in electronic or software engineering
-5+ years' programming (industry experience) in engineering development using C, TCL, Java, JavaScript, or Python. RTL coding experience is counted as an advantage.
-1+ years' experience of leading an engineering team
-Excellent problem-solving skills; strong logical reasoning and solution oriented
-Be comfortable with a wide variety of work that is not pure S/W development
-Soft skills we're looking for:
-Energetic and capable of learning new technologies as necessary
-Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
-Produce consistently high quality technical solutions and code implementations independently.
-You care (about others, about doing a good job, about details)
-You take ownership of projects and tasks assigned to you with little to no supervision and have pride in quality work done correctly the first time.
-Advantageous skill areas that will give you the edge:
-Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC digital design flows
-TCL
-XSLT and XPATH
-Structured FrameMaker EDD and DTD
-DITA, DocBook, or IP-XACT XML schemas
-FrameScript, ExtendScript, or FDK
-DITA Open Toolkit
-Experience with Technical Writing & Documentation Systems
