Responsibilities
-
Leverage data to develop analytical insights across all areas of our business to drive product development;
-
Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and actionable conclusions;
-
Designing event architecture;
-
Automation of data processing;
-
Develop presentation stories and slides based on the analysis;
-
Be a mentor and a manager for junior data scientists;
-
Leverage models to help areas such as understanding user behavior, predicting future performance, enhancing editing experience, monetization and social interactions;
-
Leverage large scale data processing such as Spark, Hive, and more;
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, operations and marketing;
-
Present findings to senior management to strengthen business decisions;
-
Translate data-driven learnings into actionable insights.
RequiredQualifications
-
BS, MS or PhD in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative field (advanced degrees are a plus);
-
Strong programming experience in Python, Java, Scala or other OOP language is required;

Strong SQL skills are a must;
-
Exceptional SQL skills are a plus;

Experience working with API services;
-
Knowledge of experimentation and statistical methods;
-
Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with strong analytical and research skills;
- Experience in modeling and machine learning is a plus;
- Working knowledge of big data technology (Spark, Presto, Hive) is a strong plus;
- Experience managing a small team is a strong plus;

Positive attitude, enthusiasm, motivation and desire for continuous improvement;

Good written and at least practical verbal knowledge of English;

Superb communication and organizational skills;

Balance attention to detail with swift execution;
- Passion for photo editing or photography is a big plus.
