Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data lake and warehouse
- Create ETLs/ELTs to take data from various operational systems and create a unified/enterprise data model
- Design and develop BI environments to support reporting, analysis and visualizations requirements
- Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools
- Mentor less experienced team members
RequiredQualifications
- 3/4+ years of experience in designing and operating large Data platforms
- Strong data modelling/design experience
- Strong Data Warehousing skills, including: Data clean-up, ETL, ELT and handling scalability issues for enterprise level data warehouse
- Big data development and management experience on Hadoop platform including HDFS, Impala, Hive, Hbase
- Experience with GCP, or other Public Cloud Environments
- Building analytical solutions using Apache Spark and Streaming frameworks such as Kafka Streams or Apache Samza
- Good knowledge of Big Data architecture patterns, design patterns, estimation techniques, performance tuning and trouble shooting
- Excellent understanding of operating systems including troubleshooting
- Experience with programming languages: Java, Scala, Python.
- Excellent knowledge of English
