Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced app features for the Android platform
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Play an active role in defining and implementing best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
RequiredQualifications
- 2-3 years of android development experience
- Bachelors of Computer Science, a related degree, or equivalent experience
- Proficient with Kotlin language
- Experience with MVVM and LiveData will be a big plus
- Experience with RESTful and WebSockets APIs
- Experience with threading, data synchronization, and performance tuning
- Understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines
- Understanding of coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, build processes, testing, and app distribution
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
