Description
IUNetworks LLC is looking for a UI/UX Designer, who will have the primary responsibility to design intuitive and impactful web & mobile applications.
Responsibilities
-Specific work elements of the job include but are not limited to:
-Understand &solve functional problems for mobile & web users by designing rich UI experiences
-Research, conceptualize, wire-frame and design stunning work
-Create product concepts that inspire users to connect with the product through visually pleasing and usable prototypes and designs
-Translate and evolve existing designs to new workflows, components and interactions
-Understand technology and implementation issues that affect design; support engineering efforts to develop designs and get the details right
-Collaborate closely with different project managers and teams of developers
-Participate and contribute to testing and validation of products from rough concepts to high-fidelity prototypes
-Create interactive journeys that account for different users, various abilities, and multiple circumstances
-Stay up-to-date on web/mobile UI patterns and trends
-Develop new and existing design patterns to produce and develop various visual languages and style guides
RequiredQualifications
-Extremely competent across the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, etc.
-Excellent ability for creating effective layouts, producing pixel-perfect design solutions for web and mobile
-Strong portfolio required
-Expert knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, photo manipulation/retouching and other such design fundamentals
-Understanding of user experience, information architecture and modern web/mobile development practices
-Understanding of the full life-cycles of system delivery and product development along with the ability to adapt to the various styles of project governance and different expectations for deliverable
-Detail-oriented; able to multi-task, prioritize and adapt under aggressive timelines and across multiple projects
-Good judgment, have superior people skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
-1-4 years' experience in a related position
-Used to working in an agile environment; familiarity with scrum methodology highly desirable
-Experience in coding languages: HTML, CSS and JavaScript desirable
-Education: BA degree in Design or related field
