As a Senior QA Engineer at Workfront, the incumbent will be an integral contributor to the Company's Agile Development Teams, taking the vision for Workfront products to ensure an amazing customer experience. He/ she will work in a cross-functional Agile team reviewing and estimating assigned work, creating test cases from requirements and executing test scenarios, validating the functionality implemented for Workfront's work experience cloud platform.
As a Senior QA Engineer, the incumbent will not only work in a cross-functional team environment, but also act as an advocate and leader for multi-team initiatives. On top of typical daily activities associated with Agile Team output, he/ she will help shape the generic test strategy for the Company and drive its execution to attain tangible results. Throughout sprints and releases, he/ she will identify risks and issues and devise mitigation and resolution policies to reduce those impact on product quality, as well as the scope and schedule of the delivery.

Responsibilities
- Meet with own team and communicate the current state of testing activities and the quality of the application, update about own work completed yesterday and work that will be completed today;
- Work with own team to plan own sprint and take on tasks that will help the team succeed;
- Carry out all typical testing activities within own Agile Team, such as reviewing requirements, creating and executing test scenarios, conducting exploratory testing, reporting and tracking defects and communicating the test results;
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects and other issues and suggest preventive actions to avoid those happening again in the future;
- Build experience with Workfront products to become a subject matter expert across the whole offering;
- Analyze functional requirements and define the test approach for features and feature areas by identifying needs for test data, environments and tools;
- Work with the test automation group to detect and close the gaps in automated test coverage and optimize the combined output from automated and exploratory testing;
- Lead and coordinate multi-team testing activities, such as release stabilization and hardening;
- Be the change driver for continually improving test approaches and introducing new methods, procedures and tools into the test process;
- Analyze non-functional requirements, define testability requirements for the product and implement testing types (security, performance, usability, etc.) applicable in different situations;
- Provide mentorship to other QA engineers in software testing practices and approaches;
- Conduct peer reviews of various test deliverables and ensure continuous skill improvement within the team;
- Take some time to do some research, train in a new technology and participate in a team building exercise with own team.

RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related field or equivalent work experience;
- More than 6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance with experience in defining test strategy and approach;
- Proven experience with and solid understanding of Agile development methodologies;
- Demonstrable analytical skills and critical thinking;
- Understanding of different testing types and their applicability in different environments and situations;
- Decent coding skills in Object-Oriented Programming and some test automation exposure;
- Knowledge and/ or experience in SQL and relational databases, web technologies (HTTP, HTML and JavaScript), as well as tracking systems;
- Knowledge and/ or experience in Git, Google Analytics and ELK;
- "Will-do" attitude and growth mindset to ensure a successful journey with Workfront;
- Excellent written and verbal knowledge of English language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of and experience with performance and/ or security testing;
- Ability to diversify own approach depending on the specifics of the system under test, as well as time and resource constraints;
- Strong knowledge and understanding of project management;
- Passion for software testing; up-to-date knowledge of the works of thought leaders in the industry, like Cem Kaner, James Bach and Michael Bolton;
- Demonstrated communication skills to work well with the Software Engineering Team and excel in a collaborative team environment;
- Passion and drive to take ownership of problems, deliver quality solutions, stand out from the pack and grow with the Company.
