Description
As part of UMCOR Armenia Foundation Finance team, the Procurement Officer has overall responsibility for coordinating the procurement process.
Responsibilities
- Organize the procurement process based on approved Purchase Requests;
- Organize and conduct bidding and tenders in cooperation with the requesting departments;
- Call Bid Selection Committee meetings, make bidding analyses and prepare the Bid Analysis Worksheets;
- Prepare procurement contracts in accordance with local laws and UMCOR Armenia Foundation policies and procedures;
- Follow up the delivery of items; ensure preparation and filling of Good Receipt Notes;
- Prepare monthly reports to Financial Director concerning all procurement issues.
RequiredQualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance;
- At least 3 years of experience working in the field of procurement/ logistics, preferably with INGOs;
- Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English, Armenian and Russian languages;
- Excellent knowledge of computer operations;
- High level of maturity, responsibility and accountability in management of multiple tasks;
- Ability to work well under pressure and willingness to put in overtime hours when required;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
