Responsibilities
Develops and applies Computer-Aided Design department (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
Manages foundry process design KITs – installation and support.
RequiredQualifications
Has a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies. Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge and experience of CAD tool development are required. Has strong communication skills to work in an international and multi-site setting where there is daily interaction with team members worldwide. Has a strong drive for delivering high quality end results and pushes for continuous improvement in work methods.
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Usually developing professional expertise, and may apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. At a minimum has general proficiency with EDA tools, Unix OS, has scripting skills for bash and tcl scripting languages. Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action.
