Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Senior Java/ J2EE Developer will help the Company's engineering team make great decisions and implement best practices.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop key architecture software modules of the backend solution;
- Build and own APIs to support new features on iOS and Android;
- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery;
- Be one of the design authorities for the evolution of the backend solution architecture;
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits;
- Work with the rest of the technical team to improve and optimize current code and the Company's ways of working;
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans;
- Work on cloud architecture (AWS).

RequiredQualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience;
- Expertise in Core Java and J2EE technologies such as Spring Boot and Hibernate;
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and Object Oriented design;
- Experience designing REST APIs and software components;
- Experience with database design, both SQL and Non-SQL;
- Working knowledge of Unix/ Linux;
- Knowledge of latest backend and database technologies (HTTP/2.0, SQL, Redis/ Memcached, and managed databases like Spanner/ Aurora).
