Responsibilities
Review requirements, specification, technical design documents, and QA test cases to understand all aspects of software solution
Design and create test scripts which cover unit, integration, system, and UI test
Develop and deploy scripts using automation software
Develop metrics and reporting that measure the test automation coverage for each aspect of code base and test type
RequiredQualifications
Core Hard Skills Required (at least 3 of the following)
Strong application tier knowledge required
Understanding of quality assurance & SDLC
Knowledge of software development methodologies
SQL knowledge is required
Java and Rest API's programming skills required
Object oriented programming (Java preferred)
Scripting knowledge
Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks:
Build tools (ant, maven, Gradle)
Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG)
Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, TeamCity)
Web UI testing tools (Selenium webdriver, QTP HP)
API testing tools (rest assured, Soap UI)
Test tools
Understand and enforce usage of Test tools used for each project based on the standards
Enforce and market automation test tools standards based on the Technology and platform used by the project teams.
Understand application and platform to identify best tool usage for Automation
Develop and provide coaching and training to testing teams whenever required
Automation Framework
Provide guidance and support using automation framework to testing center of excellence teams and other business lines
Develop strategy to improve continuous integration of existing tools under supervision
Expand and develop existing framework to support new technologies under supervision
Develop effective techniques to utilize test tools and automation framework to avoid redundancy
Technical Issues
Maintain repository of Technical issues and solution under supervision
Trouble and research to identify core issues and resolve it.
Assess and identify the right support team to resolve the issues.
