Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server instances
• Administer SQL Server Failover Clusters (Windows Server 2016)
• Write and modify complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views and user-defined functions
• Revisit and tune the existing T-SQL code base
• Periodically develop SSIS-packages (ETL processes, integrations with third parties)
• Occasionally design new schemas
• Perform regular monitoring, analysis and performance tuning of databases
• Implement automation of routing processes
• Develop and maintain documentation
• Do capacity planning and recommend changes

RequiredQualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6+ years of experience
• Proven work experience with SQL Server 2014 and up
• Strong experience with Windows
• Exceptional knowledge of T-SQL performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with transactional replications
• Ability to explain to a non-tech person what 5NF is for is a huge plus
• Experience with cloud provides such as AWS or Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Be comfortable on the phone
• Use of JIRA for task tracking
