Description
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall planning, execution and delivery of new product and technology projects including, but not limited to, defining business requirements, assessing project scope and measures of success
- Define the project charter and team organization, secure the necessary resources and services required to complete the project
- Track and communicate project status including monitoring, evaluating, and adjusting project schedules on an ongoing basis; manage scope changes and issues, take corrective action as necessary; identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Build and lead effective cross-functional project teams, identify individual and team skills necessary to enhance project performance
- Identifying and request appropriate resources from business
- Manage conflicts within team, set goals for team members, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate achievement
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to identify and execute opportunities for continual process improvement in the product development processes
- Develop full-scale project plans and their related schedules/timelines
- Generate project status reports, project review materials, and project metrics
- Ensure product performance schedule, quality, and financial targets are met
- Execute and maintain project management processes and project plans in an agile environment; own and maintain product specification document
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an Agile environment
- Strong conceptual understanding of software, development concepts, theory, and operations
- Solid understanding of programming foundations – e.g., workflows, data structures, classes, databases, references, debugger usage
Qualifications
- Experience in delivering technical solutions from concept to commercialization, such as new product development or leading medium complexity IT projects
- Proven experience and ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize one or more medium scale projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts, processes and methodologies, including working within an Agile development process
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of teams ranging from management to staff to technicians
- Understanding of general business practices and policies and working knowledge of business process mapping, design and measurement
Non-Technical Responsibilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and extend a significant amount of information with attention to details and accuracy
- Must collaborate with senior management to improve performance through feedback, as well as follow instructions
- Ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments
- Ability to effectively deal with frequent change, delays, and unexpected events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, presentation and negotiation
- Excellent organizational, financial and time-management skills
