TITLE: IoT Security Engineer
TERM: Full time

LOCATION: Yerevan, Armenia

TeamViewer has an immediately opening for a IoT Security Engineer with focus on IoT security design and implementation of security in the IoT platform.

Responsibilities
-The goal of this role would be to ensure the team has in-depth knowledge of IoT security within the TeamViewer organization
-The IoT Security Engineer will also consult with Product Management on IoT emerging security threats, standards and compliance

RequiredQualifications
-General Engineering
-Experience developing low-level applications in an OOP language such as C++
-Experience working in an Agile (nice-to-have)
-Strong experience in designing security with minimal impact on usability

-General Security
-Understanding of OS hardening principals such as those outlined in the CIS Benchmarks
-Understanding of common vulnerability types such as buffer exploitation
-Experience implementing cryptography standards into applications
-Understanding of common attacks on communications channels (e.g. MITM, replay, message tampering) and measures (e.g. certificate pinning, PFS)
-Can estimate time and space complexities of security algorithms
-Understands the social impact of security measures and how to minimize that impact
-Is skilled at writing security standards and architectural diagrams that can easily be followed and understood by other engineers.
-Familiar with known attacks and prevention tactics (ref: https://www.owasp.org/index.php/Category:Attack)

-IoT
-Familiar with networking IoT devices, including commonly used wired and wireless protocols
-Understands the importance of the IoT lifecycle
-Understands product maintainability and continuous updates
-Strong experience in planning security life cycle for devices that could be actively deployed for 10+ years
-Understands the environment IoT operates in, especially concerning Industry 4.0
-Understands how to engineer within the constraints of common IoT hardware

-IoT Security
-Understands cryptography specifics as they pertain to limited hardware of various standardized IoT hardware
-Understands security weaknesses and workarounds to common IoT networking protocols (e.g. Zigbee)
-Understands the limitations of physical security around IoT devices
-Familiar with https://www.iamthecavalry.org/ (not a requirement, but we would want them to know this or similar initiatives) - not advertised

-Nice to Haves
-Candidate is a do-it-yourself enthusiast who has a passion for working with current IoT platforms (e.g. Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagelBone)
-Has past experience working with common IoT platforms such as Cumulocity, Azure IoT, etc.
