Responsibilities
The Electrical Supervisor will control and monitor department work execution:
- Weekly plan: ensure that the electrical section achieves a high compliance to the 'Weekly Plan', and to the 'Shutdown Plans'
- Work completed: monitor that work orders are completed to a good standard and are returned to the planning department in a timely manner
- Maintenance of equipment and tools: ensure that all tools and equipment used in the electrical section are maintained to a high standard
- Quality: monitor the quality of work produced in the electrical workshop and establish procedures to verify and improve the quality of work
- Contractors: in conjunction with the Planning Office and the Electrical Engineer, coordinate the work of specialist electrical contractors as required The incumbent will also be responsible for continuous improvement in maintenance planning, work instructions, safety and permanent resolution of recurring electrical issues as well as management of direct reports including issue resolution, performance reviews, analysis of individual training needs and field based competency training assessments. He/ she will monitor the department CMMS usage, suggest and implement improvements, and develop electrical equipment rebuild procedures.
RequiredQualifications
- A trades background with extensive practical experience in the mining and ongoing training or degree in Engineering with extensive practical supervisory experience in the mining industry or a related industry
- Attendance of supervisory courses
- Prior experience of profibus networks and ABB and Siemens PLCs will be well regarded
- Experience with HV and LV electric motor maintenance and rebuilds, HV power distribution, HV electrical switchgear, etc.
- Fluency in Armenian and Russian languages and working-level knowledge of English language
- Supportive, open-minded personality Desired qualifications:
- Experience with ABB VSDs, Schneider and ABB MV and LV MCCs, and ABB transformers Siemens would be of value
