Responsibilities

- Writing big-data intensive jobs
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Java code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, responsiveness and scalability of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Be ready for unforeseen situations and able to respond appropriately

RequiredQualifications

- Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java
- Familiarity with concepts of Spring framework, MVC, JDBC, and RESTful
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Familiarity with BigData technologies like Hadoop, HBase, MapReduce, Spark is a plus
- Experience working with distributed systems is a plus
- Working experience with Scala programming language is a plus
