Responsibilities

- Participate in the whole process of creating, launching, or implementing new products and quality assurance processes
- Continuously improve/optimize current product, packaging, and processes within factories and external manufacturers according to local business needs and supply situation and/or implementation of initiatives
- Analysis and monitoring of internal & external Suppliers
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate costs of goods with suppliers and contract manufacturers
- Send inquiries, negotiate product pricing, delivery terms with suppliers, discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, place Purchase Orders & track deadlines
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans and progress reports as required
- Ensure effective lines of communication to ensure timely delivery of commodities using the most appropriate procurement procedures
- Work closely with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders scheduling shipments, maximizing discounts and minimizing the financial outlay for freight through all stages of the supply chain
- Organize local and International shipments, coordinate tracking orders through all channels, performing warehouse inventory and documentation management,
- Monitor and track shipping information to stay ahead of any transportation issues and handle any that arise with full communication with the sales administration team
- Manage the entire process in the planning of commodities procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics, and distribution, customs clearance, ensuring effectively-functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities
- Work closely with management and other operating divisions on identifying process efficiencies and opportunities to increase operating income
- Perform related tasks as assigned

- Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing

- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines

- Keen attention to detail, and demonstrated customer-service focus

- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheets, databases, on-line systems, Internet as well as online calendaring and email
- Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of progressively responsible experience with a business, procurement, marketing or sales background is preferred
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to travel will be a plus
