PicsArt is looking for a JavaScript Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. The selected candidate will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all user-side logic. The incumbent will be working in an environment with more than 1000 servers in 4 data centers on different continents, delivering over 95 billion monthly requests and 10Pb monthly traffic. Responsibilities
- Develop functional and scalable web-based applications;
- Develop new user-facing features;
- Build reusable code; ensure the technical feasibility of UI/ UX designs;
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
RequiredQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree;
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer; at least 2 years of experience with JavaScript and related technologies (Node.js, Bootstrap, jQuery, Express JS);
- Working knowledge of Angular.io;
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX;
- Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance;
- Experience working with RESTful web services;
- Basic knowledge of Node.js and Express.js;
- Good understanding of http /http2/ https;
- self–motivated person; ability to work well independently or as part of a team;
- Good communication skills in English language;
- Experience with React is a big plus;
- Strong understanding of:
a) Web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3; JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds;
b) Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues;
c) Web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading/ caching);
- Familiarity with:
a) Front-end build tools, such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.js;
b) GitHub, Atlassian developer tools.
