Responsibilities
Under supervision of the Finance & Administration Manager, the Accountant contributes to finance and administration of the ICRC Delegation in Armenia by preparing, reconciling and analysing the accounting records and financial reports of the Delegation:
- Executes different types of accounting activities according to the ICRC rules
- Verifies data from accounting documents using standard procedures and registers them into the software
- In collaboration with the cashier keeps track on working advances and ensures their settlement without delays
- Helps ensure that operations run smoothly through efficient cash-flow management, covering the fund needs of the delegation/structure
- Follows periodical payments and contracts together with the cashier
- Prepares financial lists, statistics, etc. upon request, participates in monthly closing activities
- Assists the Finance responsible in running administrative activities and projects
- Makes bank transfers and handles other issues related to the bank, including internet banking
- Carries out bank reconciliations as well as internal vouchers in IRIS system
- Follows-up the banking, legal and regulatory situation and channels all relevant information to the department
RequiredQualifications
- University degree (equivalent training in finance or accounting with certification would be a plus)
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in international organizations will be an asset
- Excellent support-service orientation and problem-solving skills
- Good planning and organizational abilities
- Proficient in handling multitasking
- Technical prowess
- Computer proficiency
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English, Armenian, knowledge of Russian will be an advantage
- Good communication skills
