Responsibilities
- Assure smooth licensing’s and certification’s processes in all jurisdictions, both on the already existing and the new ones.
- Manage compliance related projects, including new license applications and ensure that any risk of non-compliance is prevented.
- Communicate with legal advisors in other jurisdictions when required.
- Oversee, follow up and ensure the company´s websites and operations comply with regulations.
- Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements.
- Develop, implement and enforce all relevant policies, procedures, processes and training programs relating to all areas of regulatory compliance including data protection and anti-money laundering, GDPR.
- Prepare and manage license applications for additional products and jurisdictions when needed.
- Present weekly/monthly reports on tasks statuses.
- Build and manage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
- Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
- Collaborate with management team to make sure that the entire company is aware of compliance requirements and issues.
- Prepare reports.
- Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
- Work closely with team to develop internal controls and policies designed to ensure that all compliance needs are met.
- Work closely with department managers to review all departmental policies for compliance issues.
- Consult with corporate attorneys as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues.
- Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.
- Work directly and maintain excellent relationship with regulatory bodies.
RequiredQualifications
- Legal background - Sc/BA in law, finance, business administration or related field
- Proven experience as compliance manager
- Proficiency in English and Russian languages (verbal and written)
- Excellent computer skills, MS Word Excel
- Certified compliance professional is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work with multiple projects
- Managerial and planning skills
- Be able and ready to work with confidential information
- Result driven individual
