Responsibilities
Objectives:
- The important objective is to define how the the web application functions while developing, maintaining and building the core web components. Hence ability to understand the web backend technology stack (PHP, MongoDB, MySQL, REST APIs) is crucial for creating impactful tools.
- An understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, JS/Typescript, SASS, Angular 5) is desired as well, as you are expected to assist in the proper interchange of data between the server and the users.
- Team playing and collaboration skills also matter. Web developers cowork with Mobile, Design and Product teams to ship new features, as well as adjust their work to maximize overall development efficiency.
- We believe learning impacts nearly every aspect of the work especially in our startup, based on two facts; 1) it currently has and is expected to have a great impact in both educational and financial technology sectors worldwide, 2) our product is based on the latest versions of a vast set of technologies. Hence innovative thinking and the ability to continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies are part of our engineers’ job.
RequiredQualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience with last 2+ years experience in PHP,
- Full proficiency in PHP 7 (Functions, Scopes, Code organization, stages of code processing, optimization of processes),
- Strong knowledge and clear understanding of OOP and Design Patterns,
- Strong knowledge of developing with REST APIs, JSON/XML data manipulation,
- Strong knowledge of Sessions/Cookies,
- Strong knowledge of caching mechanisms (Memcached, APC),
- Strong knowledge of at least one PHP framework,
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB,
- Strong knowledge of database Design principles, normalization/denormalization,
- Experience with Query optimization,
- Knowledge of JavaScript,
- Knowledge of at least one JavaScript framework,
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS/SASS (Bootstrap 3),
- Experience with testing frameworks
- Experience with Git,
- Desire to quickly learn and work on self-development,
- Fluency in technical written English.
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject,
- Knowledge and experience of Yii2 framework,
- Knowledge of ECMAScript 6,
- Knowledge of Angular 2+,
- Experience with PhpStorm.
