Responsibilities
Act as day-to-day AmCham Member contact:
- Respond to member requests and refer them to the Executive Director as necessary
- Schedule meetings and meet with members, potential members and Business community
- Recruit new members, cultivate relationship with existing members and increase the level of member engagement to facilitate membership upgrades and sponsorships
- Conduct email and other correspondence with members on behalf of the Chamber
- Request information from members as needed
- Work with the Executive Director to plan and conduct membership surveys and to gather other information as needed
- Maintain the daily schedule of the Chamber
- Assist Executive Director in keeping complete records and documentation (archives) of the Chamber
- Assist in organizing events (as requested)
- Responsible for the email dissemination of AmCham community
- Responsible for AmCham general e-mail ([email protected])
- Prepare AmCham membership agreements and notices (invoices) on monthly basis
- Implement other functions to assist AmCham Board and Executive Director
Carry out AmCham PR strategy, under the direction of the Executive Director and Board of Directors:
- Draft press releases and other correspondence
- Maintain contact with Armenian, US and other media outlets
- Schedule press coverage and interviews
- Produce and maintain AmCham Business Magazine (topic suggestions to the Board for approval, collection of materials, translation of the articles/interviews, conducting interviews If needed, organizing the printing related issues and the distribution of the magazine both via email and courier, etc.)
- Participate in working groups, conferences with Executive Director (if necessary)
- Assist in production of AmCham Newsletter and website
RequiredQualifications
- Master’s degree in business, economics, political science, public affairs, public administration and related fields)
- Minimum 3 years of work experience (preferable in private sector or not-for-profit or international organizations)
- Strong communication, teamwork and negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Armenian and English (other languages are an asset)
- Significant knowledge of U.S. business (leading firms, growth sectors, major issues)
- Ability to build relationships and comfortable working with senior executives and high-profile stakeholders
- Proactive attitude with the ability to identify creative solutions under pressure
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong sense of cultural diversity
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail
