Description
The Mine Controller will head the accounting for the mine and process and administrative functions associated with it.

Responsibilities
- Manage all costing and production reporting activities of the mine in support of strategic and operational goals;
- Provide input in the strategic aspects of the annual budget process;
- Control costs and eliminate wastage in all areas of operations;
- Participate in cost saving initiatives;
- Identify and implement cost saving initiatives;
- Provide advice on costs (including estimating, planning, cost control and risk analysis) to Mine Manager and General Manager;
- Ensure a high level of internal control;
- Conduct monthly man-hours forecasting;
- Work closely with Mine and Process Managers to improve cost effectiveness and establish internal cost control mechanisms;
- Work closely with finance department;
- Report on dotted line basis to corporate finance;
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of costing and production reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis;
- Be able to anticipate technical, human resource and information needs throughout the development and production stage;
- Develop a succession plan within the department.

RequiredQualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in Financial Controller's position;
- Experience in mining;
- Well experienced in developing and improving business processes as well as financial and performance management reports;
- Experience in establishing financial controls and strategies;
- Responsible for budgeting and costing;
- Sound knowledge of international finance reporting standards and best practices;
- Knowledge of tax and legal requirements of RA;
- Business and workflow requirements;
- Good knowledge of financial systems environment and understanding of the interaction between different modules and functional areas;
- Technical knowledge of the relevant industry;
- ACCA qualification is a plus;
- Fluency in English and Armenian languages.
