Choosing Sandoz is always "a healthy decision". Now the company is considering Russian and CIS applicants on the following role with location in Tashkent - Country Head, Sandoz Uzbekistan.
Reporting to: Head CIS Emerging Markets.
Subordinates: 10 direct subordinates.

Responsibilities
- Position the organization in the relevant Generics and/ or generic market, whilst meeting Sandoz International financial requirements, with the objective of raising Field Force (FF) productivity of all products in the portfolio by using an effective marketing and sales strategy aimed at increasing market share and improving profitability;
- Proactively drive Sandoz FF and marketing strategy by managing a team within a country or a cluster;
- Develop business plans, local marketing and FF strategies and execute their fulfillment leveraging effectively product portfolio management.

Major Accountabilities:
- Lead, manage and develop the overall performance of the Country organization, collaborating with Global and Regional officers to set strategy for current and future product portfolio components, delivering profits and financial results within agreed budgets, and providing effective leadership of its business divisions, functional groups, and support teams;
- Proactively drive Sandoz FF and marketing strategy by managing a team within a country or a cluster;
- Develop business plans, local marketing and FF strategies and execute their fulfillment leveraging effectively product portfolio management;
- Determine strategy/ policy of the organization for the mid to long term and translate them into short-term actions; design and propose accordingly the relevant organization model;
- Monitor market dynamic and make strategic decisions for address portfolio challenges; identify mid term and long term strategic opportunity, shaping strategic plans;
- Take care of business and financial reporting in accordance with corporate and statutory requirements; analyze the figures and take effective action in the event of anomalies and/ or disasters;
- Take responsibility for growth and development of the organization and a sound financial position of the business in the short and long term by, among other things: act as head and public face of the Novartis/ Sandoz country organization, ensuring legal and ethical conduct, corporate compliance, and adherence to the company guidelines and procedures, taking measures to ensure compliance with law and Novartis/ Sandoz policies; increase market share, turnover rates, FF productivity, profitability and portfolio management;
- Adapt the organization to changing circumstances;
- Control costs; manage resources allocations;
- Oversee in Country joint ventures, in-licensing agreements, and other business relationships that impact long-term company results;
- Strengthen Country organization by developing an excellence-oriented and customer-focused culture, fostering innovation, and build best-in-class teams that fully exploit all market opportunities, and internal systems, programs, and tools;
- Drive top-level talent acquisition, succession planning and development of all associates within the country and across the region/ sub-region.

RequiredQualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree in Bioscience or Business/ Economics; advanced degree is desired; MBA is preferred;
- Fluency in English language; knowledge of local language is desired; knowledge of another language is optional;
- At least 10 years in various leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry;
- Proven track-record of P&L responsibility;
- Proven sales and marketing management ability;
- Significant leadership experience, and proven ability to manage, team with, and motivate associates of widely varying backgrounds across a dispersed and matrixed organization;
- Proven ability and experience of risk management;
- CIS and Uzbekistan market knowledge is desired;
- Willingness for relocation to Tashkent.
